Good Energy is one of a growing number of green energy suppliers in the UK. The company was founded in 1999 by Juliet Davenport to give UK consumers an excellent choice in how they buy their energy.
They are a unique company because they allow customers to buy shares to expand their renewable energy production further. Good Energy was also the first to launch Homegen which paid consumers for what they produced at home and became the blueprint for the Conservative government's feed-in tariff (FIT) scheme. As of 2016 - Good Energy had grown to over 200,000 home and business customers.
Good Energy supplies 100% renewable electricity from independent green generators in Britain and install heat pumps, solar panels, and batteries for their customers. They own around 1,700 generators across the UK and source 12% of their output from Westermost Rough Wind Farm. Good Energy’s fuel mix is comprised of 100% renewable - 46% Wind, 41% Biogeneration, 9% Solar, and 4.18% Hydro.
