Cancellation Policy
When you leave Total Gas & Power, there are a few things you need to do. Firstly, you need to inform Total of your intention to leave. Your new supplier should supply to them your final meter reading. You will then receive a final bill.
If you are on a fixed term contract, you may have to pay a cancellation / leaving fee, unless you are within your cooling off period.
Total Gas & Power Price Changes
All energy suppliers, be they domestic or business focused, have to abide by the price cap. This is the maximum amount that a supplier can charge for energy in the UK.
The price cap is managed by Ofgem, the energy regulator. Ofgem raised the price cap in 2021.
Most energy suppliers base their prices on the price cap. As there has been a rise in the price cap in 2021, these suppliers have raised their prices correspondingly.
