Instead they often use multiple different plugs in tandem depending on location and age of the building.
This of course often results in the unintended consequence of travellers bringing the wrong plug adaptor with them when they travel. (Pro Tip: Get a World Travel Adaptor, and you’re far less likely to have this problem).
